All the makeup in the world won’t make a difference without great skincare

Hi Everyone,
I am so excited to finally launch this skincare/beauty blog which I’ve been longing to do for the last few years and finally poured some coffee and did it!
First off let me start by thanking you for stopping by to visit. I hope this will not be the first and last time. I thank you for your support in advance!
In this first blog post, I would like to share with you what this blog will be all about and why I decided to finally start it. Ok. So here we go:
Let me start by introducing myself: My name is Mathilda Golding, I am proudly born in Seoul, South Korea and raised in South Korea & Canada. I moved to the US in 2006 and live in Wisconsin since. I have a career in skin care and have my own Spa in Appleton, Wisconsin. I’m a pretty interesting person you can’t put your finger on… My friends will tell you I’m the girliest girl and the biggest tomboy, and My clients will tell you I’m honest and educated in my line of work. I don’t push to sell and will tell you if you are making a bad beauty investment.
WHAT IS THIS BLOG ABOUT?
This blog is mainly about skincare, beauty and lifestyle. Here I plan to share with you the do’s and don’ts, how to’s, descriptions of services I offer, promotions, blog tips (as I learn) etc. Eventually I plan to create a Youtube vlog.
WHY A SKINCARE/ BEAUTY BLOG?
In a nutshell, because I love skincare, beauty and I love shopping. I mean, I haven’t met a woman yet that isn’t passionate about looking her best.. Am I right?
A lot of people may wonder why I’m starting a blog and not a vlog right away? Well, though I LOVE the idea of making things easier by talking, I actually enjoy sitting down and writing and planning things out. Plus I have public speaking anxiety and a vlog would require me to put on a “full face” (which I only do for special events/occasions)
So, when I thought about starting a blog, I definitely imagined talking about something fun that I love and enjoy; and not to be worrying about making sure I’m “on point” and work up an anxiety sweat.
WHY DID I WAIT SO LONG TO START?
There were a few factors:
- TIMING: I work full time, self -employed, single parent, trying to date and didn’t really found the time to do it.
- DIDN’T KNOW WHERE TO START: although this industry is packed with thousands of video tutorials, believe it or not I didn’t found one that will clearly specify where to start. This may be common sense or not a big deal for many but this use to give me a hard time whenever I use to think about starting.
- FEAR: I use to give it so much thought to “what would people think” and “am I doing it right?” until I realized that one cannot live by this thesis. So one morning (this morning) I grabbed a hot cup of coffee and just started typing. I realized that it’s IMPOSSIBLE to please everyone, and non matter what you do, some one will always criticize
- This is an absolutely NO NO and the first step for failure! Just think about it: One will NEVER satisfy everyone, they don’t pay your bills and no matter what you do, one will always receive critique from others. Critique is part of life.
I want to keep this post short & sweet and not overwhelm you so much writing…. plus the bf keeps calling wondering if we’re going to see a movie today lol.
FINAL NOTE
